Frank has volunteered, worked for and managed gay businesses and organisations, including Society Five (later Gayline Support Services), Gay Publications Co-operative (later Bluestone Media), the Singles, Oz Media, the ALSO Foundation, PhoneWorks, Travelguide Enterprises, Tour Guys, BeBee’s Tropical Apartments, Coming Out Queer, the Guys’ Freeway, and Tropical Gay-FM.
Born in Melbourne, but living in Cairns for most of the past three decades, he has hosted hundreds of couchsurfers (international travellers seeking a free bed) at his Cairns home.
Frank has studied education and counselling, and is currently studying urban design in Melbourne, where he now lives part-time. His interests include bushwalking, naturism, radio/TV history, local/family history, writing, and acting.
